According to data from analytics firm Vortexa, the United States exported an average of 10.5 million barrels of oil and fuel per day in May. This marks a significant increase and propels the US to the top of global exporters.
Russia exported 7 million barrels per day in the same month, while Saudi Arabia exported approximately 6 million barrels. In comparison, during 2025, Saudi Arabia was the leading exporter with 8 million barrels per day, followed by the US at 6.5 million and Russia at nearly 6 million.
Market Shifts
The US has become the main supplier of crude oil to Europe. Simultaneously, Asian countries are increasingly dependent on US oil due to difficulties in receiving shipments from the Middle East. This trend could significantly reshape the global oil market and alter the roles of traditional exporting nations.
