Lithuanian Market “Braļukas” Returns to Āgenskalns Market with Rich Program
On June 13–14, the Lithuanian market “Braļukas” will take place at Āgenskalns Market in Riga, featuring concerts, tastings, and crafts. Entry is free.

The Lithuanian market “Braļukas” will return to Āgenskalns Market on June 13–14, offering a two-day program with free entry. The event is part of the “Baltic Market Road” series, which this summer highlights markets from three Baltic countries.
Vendor Offerings
More than 40 Lithuanian vendors will present traditional food products such as smoked meats, cheeses, sourdough bread, šakotis tree cake, dried fruits, teas, spices, and ginger drinks. Craftspeople will bring ceramics, jewelry, woven baskets, wool items, and natural cosmetics.
Special Concert
On June 13 at 4:00–6:00 PM, Lithuanian artists Petunija and Rokas Kašėta will perform. Petunija is a singer-songwriter known in Latvia for collaborating with the group “Tautumeitas”. Rokas Kašėta is a young folk musician whose work is rooted in the Dzūkija heritage.
Full Program
On Saturday, June 13, the market is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Activities include a cold soup masterclass, performances by the Latvian Lithuanian community, degustations of šakotis and meat, and two concerts. On Sunday, June 14, the market runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a cepelinai (potato dumpling) workshop, folk dances accompanied by Lithuanian music, a talk with a railway museum researcher, a quiz about Lithuania, and a flower crown-making workshop. Henna tattoo workshops will be held both days.
Upcoming Events
The “Baltic Market Road” continues on July 12 with the Latvian regional market “Zirgagalva”, focusing on new potatoes and the horse as a cultural symbol. On August 16, the Estonian market “Tere” will emphasize crafts, food, and bicycles.
The event is supported by Lielvārdes alus, Riga City Council, and the European Social Fund Plus project.
